Why: Now in its 42nd year, San Francisco's International LGBTQ Film Festival (through June 24) opens tonight with a 7pm screening of TransMilitary, a documentary that explores the lives of transgender troops in America, followed by a gala at Terra Gallery (511 Harrison St, SoMa). Why: Queers and cannabis come together at Puff, a marijuana appreciation and drag party (7-10pm) with DJs, stoner raffles, and more. Mark your calendars for these hella gay happenings, starting with opening night at the Frameline film festival on Thursday. Pride Weekend makes its dramatic entrance on Saturday, June 23rd, but the rainbow-hued festivities have already begun.
